Comments from the interim and changes:

One of the comments from the interim is the scale of the shutter shouldn't be the as it should depends on how much light does that area needs. Therefore, I will change the size and the number of the shutters. For example, the living room area will change to 4 shutter because it needs more light for working on that area. Also the shutter can be controlled individually. So the sunlight will not directly go in when there is someone sleeping. The kitchen will have a bigger shutter than the bathroom as it is not necessary to have such big shutter on the top of bathroom. Also the presentation board have to make it looks more like a presentation board.

Concept of home:

For my concept of home, a home is not a place only for people living, eating or sleep but also a place for people who inside the area to have individual or social activities. Home is also a place for all family member to communicate and share their life experience. A home should provide both individual and social area, a place that make people feel private and safe, also feel like being a part of a community. Therefore, I think a home is not only mean the space inside the building but also the space between different houses. In my design you can see that I combined different containers to create a small community to achieve such concept. The design also provide spaces for both individual and social activities.

People can fold and hide the bed to create a larger area and transform the area between living room and bed room. The lower bed can also become a table for working.

All the doors are slide doors which can save more space. There are also a ladder which can slide out for accessing the upper bed.

the containers are elevated a bit to prevent more floods, the containers have elevated a bit.

Containers can be connected together to create the feeling of a small community.

The space between containers are public space which for people to access the houses as the image shows.

Comments from the interim and changes:

One of the comments from the interim is the presentation board didn't provide enough information such as the concept of home, my client, and description of the design. Therefore I will make a new one with more details.

Also, my design didn't bring out the main idea of my concept of home which is the idea creating a small community. Therefore, I redesigned the balcony to allow different container combine together and leave some space to be the public area for entering the container and also for people who live in different units to gathering such social purpose.

Another big change of my design is creating a new entry as a slide door which enter from the balcony. This because people need to close the whole balcony when they want a more private space before. People might just to lazy to fold the whole thing every time. Therefore, I created a new wall which allow people keep the balcony open once the container has set up and they don't need to close it every time when they need a private moment. The idea of connecting container also make me to have such changes as it's difficult to enter the house if the entrance at the side like before.
